It has recently been argued that any epistemological theory that allows for what is called basic knowledge, viz., knowledge that an agent acquires from a certain source, even if he fails to know that the source is reliable, falls victim to what is known as the problem of easy knowledge.

The idea is that for such theories bootstrapping and closure allow us far too easily to acquire knowledge (justification) that seems unlikely under the envisaged circumstances. In this paper, I begin by highlighting the distinction between the (epistemic) legitimacy and dialectical effectiveness of such inferences.

After evaluating some of the well-known solutions to this problem, I offer a mixed view of the legitimacy of easy knowledge inferences while trying to provide novel explanations as to how contrary intuitions arise.

The use of expert systems (ES) within information retrieval systems (IRS) seems to be an interesting way, particularly for the query process. Nevertheless we must examine what knowledge we need. We think that the thesaurus may be the kernel of which knowledge : for this, we must define it larger than in classical IRS.After some recalls about what may be the principal features of a query ES, we discuss about the relationship between thesaurus and a query expert system.

The problem is to determine if the thesaurus must be integrated within the knowledge base.In fact this choice is an architecture problem of the ES. We analyze, in parallel, the effects of this choice about thesaurus representation, ES functionnalities, ES architecture.The choice of an architecture depends on the goal searched: ie a general IR expert system able to handle a set of thesauri (independent thesaurus) or a specialized IR expert system which can be very performant but strongly tied to a specific area (integrated thesaurus).

The word "ontology" seems to generate much controversy in discussions about AI. He has a long history in philosophy, in which he refers to the existence of the subject. It is also often confused with epistemology, which is about knowledge and knowing.

In the context of sharing knowledge, I use the term ontology means the specification of a conceptualization. That is, ontology is a description (like a formal specification of a program) of concepts and relationships that may be available to the agent or agents of the community. This definition is consistent with the use of ontology as set-definition-of-concept, but more general. And this is certainly a different sense of the word from its use in philosophy.

What matters is what ontology is for. My colleagues and I have been designing ontologies for the purpose of enabling knowledge sharing and reuse. In that context, ontology is a specification used for making ontological commitments. Formal definition of ontological commitment is given below. For reasons pragmetic, we chose to write an ontology as a set of definitions of formal vocabulary. Although this is not the only way to determine the conceptualization, he has some good properties for knowledge sharing among AI software (eg, semantics independent of reader and context). Practically, an ontological commitment is an agreement to use the vocabulary words (ie, ask questions and make statements) in a manner that is consistent (but incomplete) in connection with the theory specified by an ontology. We build agents that commit to ontologies. We design ontologies so we can share knowledge with and among these agents.

If you are an internet marketer, whether it's the same site offers tips and tricks on Internet marketing for you? Like how to build a site in the first place, and basically how to make profits using the Internet as a medium of your marketing? Or maybe how to do SEO campaign on your site, or as a business in and of itself?

They are just two examples, but the point is, as you look more closely at what site you choose, you can learn many things about the various marketing disciplines. Much like a smorgasbord of business knowledge, which is not only useful, but also effective.

So to recap, what you should do is find a good site easy to navigate, not to bore you, offering knowledge of the business you want and your business can get into, and provide evidence of success, they said. A number I know, but worthy effort.

Index

It is unrealistic to remotely access documents in real-time when performing a search, because it will be very slow and unreliable. Therefore, the local index is created, for the search engines by crawler (aka spider). So, when you do a search you do not really search the web, but looking for a web version as seen and kept by the crawler at some point in the past.

Index will not usually contain all the documents (this may, however, the cache is stored in a separate document), but stores a representation of the terms that are relevant to documents quickly and easily searchable. There are various stages of this process (not all systems will cover all phases):

   1. This document is a document in a standard format with all text, structure and format.
   2. Structure Analysis Identifying the title, paragraphs, headings, bold text, lists, ..., etc.
   3. Lexical Analysis of Changing characters in the document to the list of words. This process may include analyzing the numbers, hyphens, punctuation and case of letters. The right Words can use case analysis and the format of word / phrase to identify important information such as name, place, date and organization.
   4. Removal Removal Stopwords words are very common and does not provide the ability to distinguish between documents. For example: "", "no", "is". Index Term Weighting

We now need to count up to where the term is relevant to a particular document. The following are examples of weighting schemes:

    Index Term Frequency * This is the term frequency in the document. Frequency is usually normal in a particular document: TermFrequency (term, document) = (no. term occurrence in the document) / (no. of term with a max occurrence in the document)
    * Inverse Document Frequency opposite of the term frequency of all documents in the set. Terms that appear in many documents are not very useful because they do not allow us to distinguish between documents. IDF (term) = log ([no documents] Collection / [no documents in the collection contain ..] The term)
    * The weight is actual weight index term for a specific period in a particular document: Weight (term, document) = TermFrequency (term, document) * IDF (term)


Other items can be a factor in determining the weight, such as: the term position in the document, whether it is in the title, whether it is bold, whether it is in the list, ..., etc.

Reverse Index

We now have a list of terms (with their weight) for a particular document. However, the list of documents containing certain words will be far more useful than a list of words for a particular document. This is called an inverted index.

For example, if we have the following three documents:

   1. This is a file on a web site search engine optimization
   2. A website design tutorial files
   3. A file of the design and development of bespoke software


Then the index terms for each document may be as follows (weight will be in parentheses):

   1. files (),? website (?), search (?), machinery (?), optimization (?)

Similarity matching

This is a process to calculate the document relevance to a particular search. This can consist of:

    * Query Term Weighting Applies weights for each query term. For example, at the beginning of the query terms may be weighted more heavily.
    * Similarity Coefficients Using weighting query terms and document term weights to calculate the similarity between the query and documents. similarity can be computed using the vector space model and calculate the cosine coefficient (this will not be discussed here).


Refreshing Index

Documents can be constantly changing, so the index should continue to refresh. crawlers need to determine how often reindex a specific document, based on how often they are updated. If documents are not updated very often, so very often Reindexing would be a waste of resources. However, the document that is always changing to keep reindexed because they may no longer be relevant to their being indexed for the term.

Measuring Accuracy IR System

Two simple ways to assess the accuracy of basic information retrieval systems are precision and Recall. It is calculated using the number of relevant documents retrieved and the number of documents (the documents deemed relevant by the system), the documents actually returned to the user is where the two sets of overlapping documents.

    * Precision Ratio does not. relevant documents returned to the number of documents were taken - ie the number of relevant documents.
    * Remember not Ratio. relevant documents returned to the number of relevant documents - namely the number of relevant documents are returned.


Actually, the document returned from the documents retrieved set will be determined by using some form of assessment mechanism (this discussion is beyond the scope of this article).

In general, there is a compromise between precision and recall, such as increasing the number of retrieved documents also tend to increase the number of relevant documents in the set of documents retrieved.

Web Search Engines

web search engines (like Google, Yahoo and MSN!) usually combine techniques of information retrieval system with the analysis of link structure, as well as many other techniques are not known. Clearly, the above technique is very easily spammed, so any useful search engine will need to try to filter spam where possible.

(NOTE: You will want to keep all the systems along the same lines. Ie If you use categories and subcategories for your paper filing system so you need to do the same thing for computer filing system, and so forth.)

Furthermore, we are talking about your financial management system: We recommend getting the books binders. Create four tabs:

2. Accounts Receivable

The schedule seems to be difficult to stick to, but some things that need to be scheduled. Stick thing for a week "week" and the file is on schedule; set aside at least 20 minutes. at the end of each week to go through, manage and maintain your filing system - Make it a priority.
