Action learning is a two-part method to maximize learning and productivity by maximizing the OJT. Action learning involves teams member organizations working on real organizational projects and problems. This team work 'is also accompanied by a regular (and spontaneous) reflection and a meeting facilitator who led the discussion.

Action learning projects has led to the launch of new products, acquisitions and divestments, and large-scale organizational change. In addition to a broad and measurable productivity, there are significant learning benefits of this action learning projects. Benefits include:

Action learning is one of many organizational learning strategy. Action learning should be used along with other programs organizational learning, such as individual coaching. The people who were home at the center of the stage, pulling the crowd to new heights zeal and devotion. Inspirational leaders are people who can achieve great popularity and success.

Although the leaders who truly inspirational still attractive and charismatic figure, they can breed disappeared in today's environment. As the world becomes more technology-oriented and market driven, the importance of personal attractiveness is reduced, while the need for technical expertise and competence of the organization continues to grow.

In the past, whether 50 or 100 years ago, large organizations such as the shape of the symbols of early civilization, the pyramids. In other words, leaders must strengthen the organization by developing new businesses and jobs done on time, and they strengthen and hone the skills of all members of the organization.

In short, the leader of a genuine organization responsible for the lives and careers of the entire team. "How do you want to improve?" is a question that often a leader must ask. When the book Peter Senge's The Fifth Discipline was first published in 1990, the term "learning organization" joined the lexicon of business. Senge able to filter out years of research and practice in the field of organizational development into a theory of clear and concise to create profound organizational change. Thus, learning organizations or wave of the future will fall by the wayside like other business theories so much and modes of management (management by objectives, reengineering, etc.)? The answer to that question is firmly, "it depends." This depends on the willingness of organizations to do the time and energy to change its behavior.

Before delving into the field of organizational behavior change, however, let us first define a learning organization. Learning organizations are those who are able to integrate the five disciplines as follows:

  • Personal mastery: personal mastery is the ability to continually clarifying and deepening personal vision, focusing energy, developing patience and seeing reality objectively.
  • Mental Models: Mental models are deeply ingrained assumptions or generalizations that influence how we understand the world and how we take action. Working with mental models involve the assumption of the surface and examine the organization, in order to understand the system better organization and to develop a more effective solution.
  • Building shared vision: This discipline requires the building and took pictures with the future and develop the capacity to fulfill that vision.
  • The team learned : Team learning involves dialogue and processes involved in thinking and learning together.
  • Systems thinking: Systems thinking, what Senge called the discipline "fifth," is the cornerstone of the learning organization that bind four other disciplines together.   • When the results of an unwanted place, a learning organization focused on efforts to understand how to structure a system that allows the results rather than blaming an individual or group of individuals.
  • Learning organization forward, always focused on the desired future they want to create, than look back at what went wrong and try to fix it.
  • Learning organizations encourage employees to stretch and try new ideas.

So what does it take to become a learning organization? There is no easy recipe, and the process is often messy. Maybe start with the organization to create a shared vision that all parts have a hand in shaping. Or an organization will start on a team level, helping the team develop the skills of a true dialogue that leads to team learning. Another option might be to test the underlying assumptions about how to get the job done which might impede progress. ("But we always do like that")!   • Does your organization need time to explore all possible options rather than settling in the first solution that seems to work?
  • Does your organization recognize behavior patterns that create less than desirable results?
  • Does your organization regularly examine and question the assumptions about how to get the job done?
  • Does your organization engage in a dialogue that builds shared meanings?
  • Does your organization to explore the nature of conflict, not suppress it?
  • Is your organization a safe, open, and believe?
  • Does your organization encourage risk taking and see failures as opportunities to learn?

The following article is  selection of models and classification systems of knowledge management model. These are, in our opinion, representative but certainly not an exhaustive collection of such devices in what may be termed the domain of Knowledge Management. The following sections present a brief description of each model or classification system and constrains the discussion to its dimensional structure of knowledge management model.

The state of art of knowledge management model, can be summarized as bellows:
  1. SECI (Socialization, Externalization, Combination, Internalization) model by Ikujurio Nonaka first appeared in 1991 and attained recognition as a useful and rigorous approach to describing the ways knowledge is generated, transferred and re-created in organizations.
  2. The N-Form Organization by Gunnar Hedlund of the Stockholm School of Economics, it is  introduced firstly in 1994.
  3. Knowing and Knowledge by Michael Earl of the London Business School is known for the work he has conducted on the information systems function in organizations, the role of the CIO and more recently, the role of the CKO. His more recent works propose a set of heuristics that situate the CKO / knowledge function within organizations and prescribe its activities.
  4. The OK Net and the OCS by Elias Carayannis (George Washington University) has recently proposed a "…synergistic symbiosis between information technology and managerial and organizational cognition" (1999: 219) whose conjunction is Knowledge Management.
  5. Three Pillars of Knowledge Management by Karl Wiig is one of the pioneers in the field of Knowledge Management and was among the first to publish a series of texts that assembled management-relevant concepts focusing squarely on the topic. His overarching framework is based on three pillars and a foundation.
  6. A Model of Intellectual Capital by Leif Edvinsson of Skandia achieved notoriety in the field of Knowledge Management after being named the first CKO in 1991. He publicized his work within Skandia and later developed his thinking in a series of publications.
  7. The Ecology of Knowledge Management by David Snowden, who directs the Cynefin, IBM's Centre for Organizational Complexity, has developed an approach to implementing Knowledge Management programs in a series of articles that rest, in general terms, on a foundation of cognitive science, semiotics and epistemological pragmatics.
  8. Knowledge Management Processes by Andrew Inkpen and Adva Dinur, of Thunderbird and Temple University respectively, introduced an empirical model of Knowledge Management designed to explicate learning and knowledge transfer between partners in strategic alliances.
  9. Intellectual Capital Management by Van Buren, a senior associate with the Research & Enterprise Solutions unit of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), has reported a model developed by the ASTD Effective Knowledge Management Working Group, a virtual organization composed of Knowledge Management practitioners in various industries.
  10. A Taxonomy of Knowledge Management by Despres & Chauvel. The authors of this chapter launched its precursor as a research program which aimed to systematically review the various literatures associated with applied Knowledge Management and construct from these a classification that accounted for activities in the field.

Many Self-Proclaimed Sales Consultants and Marketing Gurus will tell you that story telling and selling businesses often have little in common and much easier to be told than to let your customers buy something from you for three following reasons. This is true indeed.

And that's all fine and dandy, but so often a salesman, especially stockbrokers, lawyers, used car salesmen and other debris will BS you and the story they tell is a story of fraud and wrong, lies and misdirection or a direct lie. Now we all know that the lawyer lied and used car salesman will tell you for sure this car does not come from Hurricane Katrina New Orleans Flood Soup Bowl as a car. Stockbroker's will always say this is a hot stock to get a commission, as the truth of their work? Now, does that make what they do right?

I submit to you that if a Professional Sales Coach and they tell you that the story is the best way to sell, they sure as sheet should tell you that to tell a true story is the right way to sell. Not make some bull crap that they claim repeatedly to get people to buy their products or services or pay outrageous attorney fees, while they bent you over and over again.

If you are into selling and did not say, then maybe you can use stories as a way to boost your sales. Just do not tell me one thing the same story twice and only telling true stories. I would really appreciate it. Consider all this in the year 2006.
