When you think of the leader usually inspirational leaders like Martin Luther King Jr. or John F. Kennedy, who comes to mind first. The people who were home at the center of the stage, pulling the crowd to new heights zeal and devotion. Inspirational leaders are people who can achieve great popularity and success.

Although the leaders who truly inspirational still attractive and charismatic figure, they can breed disappeared in today's environment. As the world becomes more technology-oriented and market driven, the importance of personal attractiveness is reduced, while the need for technical expertise and competence of the organization continues to grow.

In the past, whether 50 or 100 years ago, large organizations such as the shape of the symbols of early civilization, the pyramids. There are many people below, followed by layer after layer of supervisors and managers in order to rise. Each new layer has the authority more than one below. Tiered structure is much higher up until it reaches its peak. That's where the classic inspirational leader who is most comfortable.

Is this the best way to structure the organization? Perhaps in many cases and often, especially when the leader is very suitable for it, but until we bring in the Information Age, no one really bothered to ask whether it is the best. Pyramidal organizations are the things exactly as they are made.

As we further into the Information Age and the 21st century, the pyramid has collapsed. Borders, ratings, and lines of demarcation which continues to evaporate. Every day, new technology paved access to information and create a rigid bureaucracy obsolete. You do not have to have a deep voice and big biceps to become leader again. You just have to be fast, flexible, and the first with a new idea.

Today, successful organizations are fluid and flexible, and leadership of these organizations require the same qualities, and then some. Here are some key elements of organizational leadership.

sense of common purpose, any organization, first and foremost, is a group of people with a team identity. Maintenance is reasonable that the main task of the leader of the organization. People working together can accomplish extraordinary things, so that the core of an organization depends on the unity of vision of the team.

After the vision is in place, ideas, creativity, and innovation will come from the team itself, but the leaders still play a very important role. He had to direct and focus all that energy. The team leader must maintain information about how their work affects the organization, customers or clients, and the outside world as a whole.

So create a shared purpose as a key element of organizational leadership, but there are other ways to make the same point. The leader must explain that success is a group experience, but so is anything less than success.

This means is very simple. Unless the whole team to win, nobody wins. Each record fine in the history books or almanacs, but they are really out of place in the current competitive organization. What is important at all, is the performance of the whole group.

Sense of worth, people need to feel important. If they deny that feeling, they will give less than full effort to the project at hand. So an effective leader of an organization that allows for a decision as much as possible to get through the whole group. Let ideas bubble up to all team members. Do not dictate solutions. Do not insist that something must be done a certain way.

Organization leaders focus on the job at hand, but not the end itself. Every job must be a training experience leading to better performance and greater responsibility in the future. In other words, leaders must strengthen the organization by developing new businesses and jobs done on time, and they strengthen and hone the skills of all members of the organization.

In short, the leader of a genuine organization responsible for the lives and careers of the entire team. "How do you want to improve?" is a question that often a leader must ask. "Where do you want your career to go from here" What kinds of new responsibilities that you want to take "This is the task leader to ask questions and to respond by helping team members achieve their goals?.

In other words, you have to communicate confidence in their abilities. Provide standards for organizations to meet or exceed, and the public show your appreciation when that happens.

Always remember, for an effective organizational leaders, together with the team's success personal success. Anything else is unacceptable. The biggest award leaders can achieve is a group of talented, confident, motivated and people who work together himself ready to lead.
